Description
Role: Senior Training Specialist
What you'll do
Support the design, development, and delivery of commercial training programs, including new hire onboarding, recurrent training, and ongoing education.
Deliver training content covering product knowledge, disease state education, key clinical data, selling skills, and territory/account-related information.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, HR, and Medical teams to support learning objectives and program execution.
Maintain and update training materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with global and local standards.
Support Training Needs Assessments through data collection, stakeholder input, and performance observations.
Facilitate training sessions in classroom, virtual, and workshop settings, adjusting delivery based on audience needs.
Support commercial excellence initiatives such as CRM usage, sales tools adoption, and basic analytics interpretation.
Act as a training resource for the commercial team, providing post-training reinforcement and informal mentoring.

Requirements
Must-haves
Bachelor's degree in a related field (life sciences, education, business, or marketing).
3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostics environments.
Experience supporting or delivering sales, commercial, or field-based training.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, HR, Medical).
Ability to translate scientific or technical information into clear, practical learning content.
Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Japanese: Native level. English: Business to fluent level.
Ability to travel up to 40–50%.
Valid work authorization to work in Japan required at time of hire; visa sponsorship not provided.
Preferred
Experience facilitating training sessions for sales or commercial teams.
Familiarity with LMS platforms and training content management.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design fundamentals.
