Position Title: Go-to-Market Lead – Product Launch
Location: Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid)
Company: Confidential – U.S.-Headquartered Healthcare Company
Start Date: ASAP (targeting early 2026 product launch)


Overview:

We are managing a confidential search on behalf of a U.S.-based healthcare innovator entering the Japan market. The company is seeking a Go-to-Market (GTM) Lead to drive the launch of a key product in early 2026, taking full ownership of all commercial planning and execution.

This is the first GTM hire in Japan and a highly visible position with global leadership exposure. The role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with product launch experience—either from the healthcare industry or consulting, provided they have hands-on GTM leadership experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for a major product launch scheduled for early 2026

  • Lead all core launch activities: positioning, segmentation, pricing, branding, channel strategy, stakeholder engagement, and field readiness

  • Build and manage local launch timelines, KPIs, and success metrics

  • Serve as the bridge between Japan and global HQ, ensuring alignment across marketing, medical, regulatory, market access, and commercial functions

  • Create and localize marketing and communication materials; oversee KOL and customer engagement initiatives

  • Support the buildout of local commercial capabilities as needed (e.g., hiring, agency/vendor management)

Requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • 7–12 years of experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharma, MedTech, or top-tier consulting

  • Proven experience in go-to-market strategy and execution, with direct involvement in product launch (required)

  • Candidates from consulting firms welcome if they have hands-on launch planning and stakeholder coordination experience

  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset; able to operate independently in a lean, fast-moving environment

  • Fluent in Japanese and proficient in English (business-level)

  • Familiarity with Japan’s healthcare ecosystem, including regulatory and access considerations, is a strong advantage
