Role: Manager, Talent Acquisition – Biopharmaceutical

What you'll do

• Design and lead recruitment strategy and end-to-end hiring delivery across functions in Japan for a global biopharmaceutical company.
• Coach and develop a high-performing recruitment team.
• Partner with hiring managers and HR to translate hiring plans into recruiting priorities.
• Manage external recruitment agencies and sourcing partners within approved budgets.
• Build recruiting metrics and use hiring-funnel data to improve delivery and candidate experience.
• Implement global recruiting processes locally and ensure compliance with Japanese requirements.

Must-haves

• 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including recruitment in Japan within biotechnology, biopharma or pharmaceutical organizations.
• At least 2 years of direct people-management experience in recruiting.
• Experience delivering hiring for commercial, medical and corporate functions in Japan.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional Japanese and business English.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience recruiting for specialist or rare-disease areas, or supporting business expansion in Japan.
• Experience with ATS/HR systems and employer branding initiatives.
