Project Manager

Launch and promote a project for automotive collision safety products (airbags, seat belts, steering wheels, etc.) for a Japanese OEM.

What you will do week to week:

• Management of project activities in accordance with the Product Development System (PDS)
• Creating project schedules in line with customer delivery deadlines, and progress and task management
• Regular follow-up on project profitability and promoting improvement activities to achieve targets
• Hosting and running team meetings with related bases (domestic and overseas)
• Progress reports to management in English and obtaining approval
• Escalating to management as necessary and requesting support to resolve issues
• Negotiating with Japanese OEMs 
• Projects will be diverse, both domestic and global.

• Experience in project management in automotive - ideally, with responsibility for QCD
• Engineering experience, with some parts of project management (eg timing, design change) also OK
• Ability to communicate smoothly with stakeholders based on logical thinking
• Ability to negotiate and coordinate tenaciously - internally and externally

  • Previous Design experience at an automobile manufacturer or parts manufacturer (Tier 1 supplier) is preferred
