About Our Client 

Our client is a globally recognized Tier-1 supplier specializing in state-of-the-art occupant safety systems. Over the past several decades, they’ve been at the forefront of developing and manufacturing:

• Airbag modules (inflators, cushions, gas generators)

• Seat belt systems (pre-tensioners, load limiters, retractors)

• Steering wheel assemblies (integrated airbag housings, electronic control units)

Their products are installed in millions of vehicles each year, helping to protect drivers and passengers in some of the world’s best-known automotive brands. With advanced R&D centers and global manufacturing footprints across Asia, Europe, and North America, they continue to push the boundaries of passive safety and occupant protection.

They are seeking a Project Manager, to manage current and new projects coming into SOP.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prepare and rework the total project plan including time and budget planning in accordance to Internal Project management process.
• Margin and profit responsibility for product / investments / tooling and development.
• Coordination of Advanced Quality Planning
• Leads the project teams
• Management of modifications during the development process.
• Organize and perform the gate exit reviews.
• Responsible for budget planning
• Responsible for meeting customer and ZF milestones
• Total project cost control (Project budget such as Development, Tooling, Investment and sample product)
• Support acquisition and current production activities in cooperation with account manager

Key Competencies

• Strong task-oriented mindset and self-learning ability
• At least 3-year experience as project engineer or project manager
• Must have full cycle project responsibility, including financial responsibility
• Strong understand of commercial aspects of projects.
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Languages: native level Japanese, Business English
• PMP certification an advantage

Educational and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Project Management is preferred.
