Role: HR Business Partner Manager – Medical Devices (Japan)

What you'll do

• Partner with business leaders to support execution of business strategies and operational plans for the Japan market, aligned with regional and global objectives.
• Coordinate initiatives, priorities and deliverables with cross-functional teams.
• Analyse business and people metrics, performance and trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to planning, forecasting and performance management activities.
• Ensure adherence to governance, compliance and internal control requirements.
• Support change management, process improvement and organisational effectiveness initiatives during a period of significant organisational change.
• Prepare reports, presentations and insights for leadership and key stakeholders.
• Oversee HR administration, including document handling and routing, HR records management and archiving, regulatory filings and audit support.

Must-haves

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, operations or a related field.
• Approx. 6–8 years of progressive experience in HR business partnering, business management, operations, strategy or related roles.
• Experience supporting business operations or market-level initiatives in a matrix organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into insights.
• Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional and senior stakeholders, and to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and regionally (approx. 10–20%).

Nice-to-haves

• A Master's degree or MBA.
• Experience in Japan market operations or regional roles, and working with regional or global teams.
• Exposure to healthcare, medical devices or other regulated industries.
• Experience supporting change management or transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with performance management and reporting tools.
• Business management, project management or related certifications.

Salary: approx. 1,100 ~ 1,400万円
