Summary
A leading global healthcare firm seeks a Director of Data Science to lead a team delivering advanced analytics across Japan and APAC. This role drives data-led commercial strategy, marketing transformation, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4 data scientists across multiple markets

• Manage analytics delivery, project prioritization, and regional rollout

• Collaborate with commercial, medical, and digital teams for data-driven insights

• Develop and deploy ML/AI models to support strategic goals

• Communicate insights through executive-level storytelling and visualization

• Mentor team members and ensure best practice alignment

Requirements

• 10+ years in data science/ML, including 3+ years in leadership

• Expertise in regression, neural networks, time series, GANs

• Hands-on with Python, R, SQL, and platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop

• Strong in cloud-based analytics, business impact, and cross-functional collaboration

• Background in healthcare or pharma analytics preferred

Preferred

• PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering)
