Job Title: Director, RWE and Epidemiology Scientist
Job Function: Real-World Evidence (RWE) & Epidemiology
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable
Location: Japan (Must be fluent in Japanese)
Lead disease burden, vaccine effectiveness, and vaccine impact studies across Asia-Pacific, including Japan.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in infectious disease epidemiology and RWE.
Represent RWE/Epi in strategic meetings (e.g., GMATs) and support regulatory filings.
Author/review protocols, study reports, and presentations for internal/external stakeholders.
Serve as Non-Interventional Study (NIS) Lead for relevant projects.
Provide rapid RWD analyses and deliver actionable insights.
Contribute to regulatory responses, literature reviews, and department initiatives.
Collaborate globally, including with stakeholders in LMICs, Europe, Japan, and Latin America.
Design & execute RWE studies using primary and secondary data.
Experience in field epidemiology, vaccine effectiveness studies, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Partner with cross-functional teams (MEG, DS&A, etc.) to meet asset strategy needs.
Communicate findings clearly to medical, regulatory, and internal stakeholders.
Publish in journals and present at scientific conferences.
Participate in peer review of RWE/Epi protocols and deliverables.
応募資格
.
PhD in infectious disease epidemiology, vaccinology, or related field.
3+ years experience in infectious disease/vaccine-related research or development.
Skilled in real-world vaccine studies, including field-based studies in varied populations and settings.
Fluent in Japanese and based in Japan.
Experience working with or within multilateral global health organizations (e.g., WHO, UNICEF, Gates Foundation).
Prior collaboration with Japanese local/national governments.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Familiarity with global immunization programs and relevant agencies (e.g., CDC, Gavi, PATH).
Knowledgeable in regulatory RWE standards and emerging tech (e.g., AI in epidemiology).
