Position Title: Specialist, Public Affairs (Level G14)
Function: Corporate & Therapeutic Area Communications, Stakeholder Engagement
Role Summary:
The Public Affairs Specialist is responsible for planning and executing internal and external communications programs for a specific therapeutic area, under the guidance of a manager. The role supports efforts to strengthen corporate reputation and enhance employee engagement through disease awareness and patient-centered initiatives.
Working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, this individual will develop and deliver strategic messaging across multiple channels, support partnerships with patient organizations, and ensure alignment with global and regional communications strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement communication strategies aligned with therapeutic area objectives and broader brand plans
Build strong relationships with media and deliver key messages to support visibility and credibility
Drive internal and external stakeholder engagement through targeted disease and therapy-area communications
Collaborate with patient organizations and other stakeholders to support awareness and education initiatives
Promote patient and public involvement (PPI) by integrating patient perspectives into communication activities
Act as a communications partner to support therapeutic area and cross-functional business goals
Ensure that all patient-facing and external communications comply with internal policies and relevant industry codes
応募資格
Required Skills & Competencies:
Bilingual communication fluency (Japanese & English)
Experience in media relations and stakeholder communications
Knowledge of digital and multimedia communication channels
Strong organizational and project management skills
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines across multiple projects
Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Experience managing external agencies or vendors
Understanding of compliance, legal, and industry standards related to public communication
Preferred Background:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related area
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or working with clients from regulated industries
Familiarity with commercial environments and cross-cultural teams in multinational organizations
