Director of Data Solutions & Innovation – Healthcare Technology
This leadership role focuses on driving data-centric business solutions for clients in the healthcare sector by leading a high-performing team responsible for data platform development, BI implementation, and AI-driven innovation. You will play a key role in leveraging enterprise-level data to deliver insights, optimize decision-making, and build scalable, future-ready analytics solutions.
Lead a department (~50 people) delivering three core services:
Implementation and operation of client-facing data warehouse (DWH) and business intelligence (BI) systems
Development and maintenance of SaaS-based analytics solutions using sales and real-world healthcare data
Customized reporting and data services tailored to client needs
Drive strategy and operations to achieve revenue targets in the data & analytics division
Collaborate with global teams to localize and expand offerings in the Japanese market
Lead the exploration and deployment of emerging technologies such as generative AI to build innovative tools and services
Oversee organizational change initiatives aimed at evolving the team into a solution-focused business unit
0–3 Months: Deepen understanding of internal offerings and business priorities
3–6 Months: Take full ownership as a department leader
6–12 Months: Lead transformation initiatives to enhance organizational structure and service delivery

Work with rich healthcare data sets to design solutions that impact business decisions across the organization

Full-stack infrastructure and BI system deployment for a major healthcare client
Launch of a cloud-based SaaS analytics tool for market and performance insights
Multidisciplinary team including data architects, engineers, analysts, scientists, and project managers
Open and collaborative culture with minimal hierarchy and strong team cohesion
Balanced mix of global coordination and local autonomy for solution development
Annual Salary Range: ¥18,000,000 – ¥25,000,000 (JPY), including base and variable components
Potential sign-on bonus(es) may be offered based on experience and fit

Proven experience leading a 10+ member team, including revenue and performance management
Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Experience managing end-to-end DWH/BI system proposals and implementation
Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, MotionBoard)
Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server (including stored procedures)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) for DWH/BI deployment
Background in healthcare analytics or healthcare-focused data platforms
Hybrid: Tokyo-based office (Shinagawa area) + remote flexibility
