About the Role
A confidential global consulting firm is seeking a seasoned Healthcare Management Consultant to join our Tokyo office. This role is ideal for strategic leaders with deep industry knowledge who are passionate about transforming healthcare through insight-driven, impactful consulting.

You will work closely with multinational pharmaceutical, MedTech, and healthcare provider clients to solve complex business challenges, drive transformation, and support growth strategy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver client engagements in healthcare strategy, commercial excellence, digital transformation, and operational improvement

• Act as a thought partner to C-level executives across pharmaceutical, life sciences, MedTech, and hospital sectors

• Develop and grow client relationships, identify business development opportunities, and contribute to proposal creation

• Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge development within the practice

• Collaborate across global teams to bring the best of the firm’s capabilities to local clients

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on healthcare clients / industries

• Strong background in healthcare strategy, commercial, market access, R&D strategy, M&A, or transformation

• Proven ability to lead complex projects and drive measurable outcomes

• Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English (business fluency required)

• MBA or equivalent preferred

• Location: Tokyo, Japan

• Work Environment: Hybrid (3 days on-site expected; flexible depending on client needs)
