Our client is a global leader in ADAS systems and other safety applications, with a strong footprint in Japan.

They are continuing to expand and are seeking to hire a System Technical Product Manager.

Mission & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivered system fulfills the R&D related customer requirements and expectations
  • Leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary R&D Team at system level
  • Responsible for managing specific and cross-functional problems throughout a product lifecycle
  • Ensures smooth communication between the R&D Team and customer in regards to all R&D related topics at system level
  • Establishes and monitors R&D schedule aligned with the customer, company milestones and the R&D
  • Owns the change management process in terms of QCT for all changes related to the R&D scope of the project. Manages the implementation of the changes following the decision of the CCB
  • Manages the R&D Core Team to ensure the alignment of all involved such as System Design Lead, Overall Software PM, Mechatronic Lead plus other key functions.
  • Managing a multicultural team across countries
  • Play a central role in the timely implementation of root cause analysis and accompany the solution process with the appropriate interface partners

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Technology, Mechatronics or Equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in Automotive Embedded Systems
  • Team / project management experience; have led projects aligning multiple functions within the project.
  • Strong communication skill - speaking, reading, writing in Japanese (without using translators)
  • Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE)
  • Know-how in vehicle bus systems like (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
  • Analytical and trend analysis skills
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis (FTA..)
  • Ability to travel to customers (Japan)
