Corporate Communications & Public Relations Specialist - Pharma Industry

Overview: Our US Pharma Client is seeking a talented and dynamic Corporate Communications & Public Relations Specialist to join our team in the Medical Device industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, and enhancing the company's public image through effective PR initiatives. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the narrative and brand reputation of our organization within the healthcare and medical device sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic communication plans and PR campaigns that align with the company's objectives, brand positioning, and industry trends within the medical device sector.
• Create compelling content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media content, and other materials, to promote the company's achievements, product launches, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, journalists, industry influencers, and relevant stakeholders to secure positive coverage and manage media inquiries.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, regulatory, and leadership teams to ensure consistent messaging and communication alignment across all channels and initiatives.
• Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, preparing executives and subject matter experts for media interactions, interviews, and speaking engagements.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks, providing insights for proactive communication strategies.
• Oversee crisis communication plans and act as a key point of contact during sensitive situations, managing communication responses and maintaining transparency.
• Plan and execute events, webinars, and industry conferences to enhance the company's visibility and thought leadership positioning.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and PR campaigns, utilizing metrics and analytics to refine future initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related roles within the Pharma industry preferred.  Medical Device or other Healthcare industry considered.  Agency experience with focus in Healthcare relevant.
• Proven ability to craft impactful messaging, write compelling content, and manage PR campaigns across various platforms and media outlets.
• Strong media relations skills with a network of industry contacts and familiarity with healthcare/medical device trade media.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Crisis management experience and the ability to remain composed and strategic under pressure.
• Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms and PR tools for communication and analytics purposes.
• Strategic thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving and a results-driven mindset.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
